Remarkably Preserved Camaro RS Convertible - 327ci V8 with Rare 3 Speed Manual

The first “pony car” from General Motors, the Camaro was GM's response to Ford's blockbuster success of the new Mustang. And a great response it was. The first generation Camaro has become one of the most memorable and collectable cars from the 1960's.

And the Rally Sport Convertible is a prime example of why the Camaro is so popular. With hide-away headlights and special trim, the Rally Sport is one of the most attractive Camaros.

This beautiful Matador Red 1968 Rally Sport Convertible has been treated to one re-spray in its original color, and has been carefully maintained in remarkably original condition. The black convertible top and black standard interior with console appear original to the car and are in very nice condition. The plastic rear window shows only minor cloudiness, and is serviceable until a new window or top is needed. Black “hockey stripes”, rally wheels and Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires dress out the exterior nicely.

Powered by its original, numbers matching 327ci V8, this car is one of a small number produced with the console shifted 3-speed manual transmission. Just as it came from the factory. Vintage Air Conditioning and power steering make this a fun and comfortable car to drive.
