Rare ALL-STEEL Chrysler Convertible - Stunning Cover Car with HEMI Power!
Only 27 convertible Chrysler sedans were produced in 1933. This one was exported to South America and stayed there until the 1980's. After 55 years and 300,000 miles, it was bought in 1989 and brought to Memphis to be restored. The chassis remained unchanged with the stainless steel front suspension from Kugel Komponents. The craftsmen who worked on this classic are the who's who in restoration. Alan Huff worked on the metal fabrications which include smooth running boards. He also installed a Ron Francis Wiring kit with gauges from Classic Instruments. Bill Fowler fabricated the custom dashboard. Paul Kosma hand made the Chrysler emblems and designed the independent rear suspension and Wilwood disc brakes are mounted inboard.
In 2007, this rare classic attended the NSRA Nats South in Knoxville, the NSRA Mid-America in Springfield, Missouri and the NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. It was on the cover of StreetRod Builder, December 2007 with a featured article. This beauty drives and rides as good as it looks.
